Problem is I don't have windows 10 in my laptop. It's windows 8. So facing issues. Is it possible to create hotspot on windows 8 OS? One workaround i tried by creating mobile Wi-Fi hotspot in my android smartphone and then shared that with my laptop. I've installed windows 8. Reply 5 years ago. I just want to say that i messed with this thing for a few weeks with Windows 10 and could not get it to work, but when i switched back to 7 i finally got it to work but i had an ethernet connection as well.
